Develop your photographs with precise, easy-to-use tools: Quickly download images from your camera to your computer. Automatically rename files, organize folders, and even add metadata to photos as you import them.
This one-day, introductory class on Lightroom (introducing V3) is perfect for the advanced beginner, intermediate & advanced/pro photographer seeking to simplify and take control of their workflow and spend less time in front of the computer. The class will introduce the photographer to the various application modules -- Library, Develop, SlideShow, Web Gallery & Print, and demonstrate the usefulness of each of these in Lightroom. Most photographers would like a system to simplify their workflow, organize their images, add meta data (from contact info to copyright embedded in the image file), easily and quickly develop their RAW image files (quickly resize and export), even be able to create slide shows, web galleries and print – all is possible in Lightroom. Develop your photographs with precise, easy-to-use tools for globally correcting white balance, exposure, tone curves, lens distortion, and color casts; work with presets (and create your own); and work with “collections” to organize your images by client, topic, portfolio, or any criteria you want.
The class will start with the proper procedure for getting images into Lightroom and take you through all of the steps to a finished image. If you don’t need all that Photoshop has to offer (even if you do), but needs a bit more work than straight out of the camera – you must learn and use Lightroom. From start to finish, Lightroom is a great photography assistant.
Note: Some of my images make it only as far as Lightroom. If I don’t need extensive retouching, adding or merging images nor some of the other Photoshop features, the images get adjusted and finished in Lightroom. – JP
Designed for intermediate and professional photographers -- this class is a must for anyone needing to efficiently process and organize images!
